Musée des Arts et Métiers

Between May and July 2021, I spent one month at the musée des Arts et Métiers in Paris.
It’s such an inspiring place to me. When I get lost in its corridors, I’m thinking in all these inventors, dreamers, visionaries or crazy fools who revolutionized our ways of living. To be able to sketch an object, I need to understand it, I imagine its function, its mechanism.
In its historical buildings are stored many outstanding inventions since french Révolution. I sketched the collections, the storage and portrayed some of the collaborators of the museum.

My original illustrations were displayed all along the permanent exhibition of the musée des Arts et Métiers and some reproductions on the exterior of the museum from the 30th of November 2021 until the 8th of May 2022.
