Vallée du Cher

From March to September 2026, I explored the Cher Valley in France as part of an artist residency. I discovered the region and created on-the-spot sketches along the river and its locks, capturing—among other subjects—the Château de Chenonceau, vineyards, boatmen, the confluence with the Loire, medieval towns, and the people dedicated to preserving the Cher’s heritage.
Public engagement played a significant role in this rural residency: I visited primary schools to teach Urban Sketching, led workshops for adults, took part in book-signing events at bookstores and cultural centers, and gave talks about my graphic reportage work.

The association Au bord de l'eau hosted the artist residency.
